Frame: To ensure that your sofas last long they should be built with a sturdy frame made of good wood like oak, ash, or beech that are hard and more durable. Soft woods that are less priced like the pine are prone to warping over time hence not suggested. And keep away from frames made of particleboard, or metal or plastic. Make sure that the legs are either a part of the frame itself or are held with screws or pegs but not glue.
As a rule, liquid spills, with the exception of red wine or coffee, are suitable for Do-It-Yourself cleaning. A household cleaning solution or upholstery shampoo will usually do the trick. Apply it as soon as possible after the spill, work it into the fabric, and use a damp rag to blot out the liquid. You can repeat this procedure as many times as is necessary to remove the stain and discolouration, changing your cloth as often as needs be in removing any dark patches.
Bold colors are for big spaces; or so you have been told. But a bold color really just needs subtle complementing or contrasting dcor to work. Bold singular sofas with darker, larger sofas balance the color in the space beautifully. Balancing out the boldness of a bright sofa with a neutral colored sofa of the same size is a great way to embrace the splash of color. Let the colored sofa stand out, but not hurt the eye. It takes a lot of gall to go for a bold color, particularly red, orange, and the like. So, consider your room size and your personal preference before you choose one.
